So... looks like my Rumble story was a dud, but that's OK. It was nice to write Y&H Granny Smith again, even for a one-shot.

They can't all be "To Not Be Different" or "Magical Mystery Couture," plus I think the backlog of H&H Day stories slowed things down... that had to be the longest I've ever had to wait for a submission to be approved (or denied) by the Powers That Be.

So, despite the fact that it AU's my story At the Gorge (by giving that Sweet Apple Acre Siblings other parents) and peripherally affects Hitting Rock Bottom (by implying Cup Cake is older than I thought, and that Mayor Mare is of an older generation than Cup Cake and Cheerilee), I actually liked the personalities they gave Bright Mac and Buttercup. After seeing this episode....I have great sympathy for those young fellows who take care of their elders regularly. It looks like a challenging prospect. Something I will have to learn about when my parents get older.

My "Oh, no" moment was when the grannies fooled Rainbow into believing they were going to take a nap, when they were just gonna sneak away as soon as RD is not looking. I can't blame Rainbow on this, seniors are very good at fooling us if we are not careful.
